You probably missed this result this weekend

Bret Schoolmeester finished 5th in the Boston Athletic Association Invitational road mile; he works 60+ hours a week in brand marketing for Nike while training at a high level. I do not work with Bret, yet I had the pleasure to shot this video a year ago and it’s safe to say that he’s still using his fee to commute to the Nike campus from time to time.

I was advising him and writing some workouts, yet his schedule was (and still is!!!) very hectic, so he had to interpret a lot. He did not have the time to much General Strength or ancillary work – though he really tried hard to incorporate that into his weekly training – and that probably meant that the workouts I wrote we're as effective because of the other stimuli. Basically, this is a great performance for him and when I advised him the performances weren't great, so I give myself a D- when it comes to helping Bret.

I remember running with Brett at running camp in high school. I beat him at Northglenn, probably his worst race ever and my best! Your an animal Brett!

    Peace,
    Ty
